THE TEAM ALCHEMY
The Team Alchemy Model gives an easy-to-understand, visual overview of the key focus areas your Team Alchemy facilitator-coach will use to guide your team towards the outstanding business results you desire.
The Model identifies six crucial elements that must combine to produce a high-performing, harmonious team.
THE MODEL EXPLAINED
The five core elements (orange sectors in the diagram) relate to internal focus points for your team.
The grey external ring that binds the model together signals the critical duty of your team to satisfy the needs of external groups who collaborate with you - your clients, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
DON'T BE FOOLED BY SIMPLICITY
The simple, visual nature of the Team Alchemy Model belies years of academic and best practice research.
Collaboration became the binding element of the Model after the Team Alchemy group conducted two major literature reviews of best practice team development models in 2004 and 2008.
In these reviews, the world's leading thought leaders and best practice models on teamwork and collaboration told us that teams that look outwards more than they look inwards are primed for high performance.
In simple terms - the truest judgement of your team comes from your customers and other external groups who interact with your team. Their assessment of your performance is what matters most and outstanding results in their eyes must be your team's ultimate aspiration.
The Team Alchemy Model reflects this, and graphically summarises the decisive elements which your team will work on to achieve internal harmony and outstanding collaboration with your key external stakeholders.
After your team completes the Team Alchemy Diagnostic, particular sectors of the Model will become apparent as strengths of your team, and other sectors will show up as weaknesses which need improvement in order to progress through the Team Alchemy Life Cycle, towards a state of true high performance.
